HOT IN HERRE Thomas Sontag & Alex Moulton To get everybody under the sheets, Canadian entertainer TIGA got together with puppeteer extraordinaire Thomas "Lord of the Marionette" Sontag to create a video worth bumping and grinding to. Sontag uses the marionette as an amplified metronome. His puppets are animated by rhythm dancing themselves, in perfect time, into some of the world’s hottest nightclubs and onto MTV. The future looks bright for a young man who, despite the bold title, humbly considers himself a beginner in a rich tradition of brilliant, if underappreciated work - an upstart who, if nothing else, wishes that his work could contribute to a puppet renaissance.
